308LSi is a corrosion-resistant chromium-nickel 20Cr/9Ni filler rod with extra-low carbon content for gas tungsten arc welding, suitable for welding austenitic stainless steels, grade 18Cr/8Ni, such as steel grades AISI 301, 302, 304, 304L, 308 and 308L, 03Х18Н11, 06Х18Н11, 08Х18Н10Т, etc. Low carbon content significantly reduces the risk of intercrystalline corrosion, and the presence of silicon ensures high quality of the weld. Controlled ferrite content of 5-10% gives the weld metal high resistance to cracking. The content of Si ~ 0.80 leads to an increase in the fluidity of the weld pool, improves the welding properties and the appearance of the weld.
