Aluminil Si5 is a specially coated aluminium electrode for welding, repairing and surfacing cast aluminium-silicon alloys, rolled aluminium alloys and also for joining heterogeneous aluminium alloys with a maximum silicon content of 7%. The electrode has a special coating provided to reduce moisture entrapment. For thicker materials (³15 mm) preheating from 150°C to 250°C is recommended.
