Black tungsten or lanthanum oxide electrodes are universal and are used in almost all areas of DC and AC welding. They are mainly used in welding non- and high-alloy steels as well as aluminum, nickel, copper and magnesium alloys. They are also used in microplasma welding. Due to their good ignition properties, they are ideal for automatic welding.
